At Hatton Bullion, we make it simple and safe for you to send your precious metals and jewellery to us by post. This Shipping & Delivery Policy explains how to send your items, what to expect, and how we keep your valuables secure throughout the process.

1. How It Works

  • Submit your items through our Sell Now form with details of what you wish to sell.
  • Once your submission is reviewed, we will provide you with instructions on how to send your items to us via Royal Mail.
  • Post your items to us using Royal Mail Special Delivery (recommended) for full insurance and tracking.
  • Upon receipt, we will inspect, weigh, and assess your items, then confirm your final offer.

2. Recommended Posting Method

We strongly recommend using Royal Mail Special Delivery Guaranteed to send your items to us. This provides:

  • Full tracking from collection to delivery.
  • Insurance cover up to £2,500 (higher cover available).
  • Next day delivery with a guaranteed delivery time.
  • Signature on delivery for added security.

Alternatively, you may use any tracked and insured postal service of your choice.

3. Packaging Your Items

  • Wrap each item individually in soft tissue paper or bubble wrap to prevent scratches and damage.
  • Place all wrapped items in a sturdy, padded envelope or small box.
  • Seal the package securely with strong tape.
  • Do not write any description of the contents on the outside of the package for security purposes.
  • Include a note inside with your full name, email address, and phone number so we can identify your submission.

4. Where to Send

Post your items to our secure address. Full posting details will be provided to you after your Sell Now submission has been reviewed by our team.

5. What Happens When We Receive Your Items

  • We will notify you by email once your package has been received.
  • Our expert team will inspect, test, and weigh your items within 1–2 working days.
  • You will receive a final offer based on live market prices at the time of assessment.
  • If you accept the offer, payment will be made promptly to your preferred method (bank transfer).
  • If you decline the offer, we will return your items to you free of charge via insured post.

6. Shipping Costs

  • You are responsible for the cost of posting your items to us.
  • If your items are accepted and the sale is completed, we may reimburse your postage costs (subject to terms).
  • If you decline our offer, we will return your items to you at no extra cost.

7. Insurance & Liability

  • We strongly advise using a fully insured and tracked postal service when sending items to us.
  • Hatton Bullion is not responsible for items lost or damaged in transit before they reach us.
  • Once your items are received at our premises, they are fully insured and securely stored until assessed.

8. Important Notes

  • Items are processed Monday to Friday only. Parcels received on weekends or public holidays will be processed the next working day.
  • Please retain your posting receipt and tracking number until the transaction is fully completed.
  • For high-value items, please contact us before posting so we can arrange the most secure method.
